From the Executive Director

Marion Grzesiak

Hello, I’m Marion Grzesiak and it is my pleasure to join the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey as the new Executive Director.

The Visual Art Center of New Jersey has been a part of the Summit community since 1933 and has evolved into a major contemporary art space for the region with both a professionally recognized art school and a critically acclaimed exhibition program.

We offer extensive interpretive programming through our studio art classes and gallery tours for adults, families and children. In addition, our school programs serve students throughout the region, from kindergarten through high school, with programs that not only introduce our young people to contemporary art but to the artists that produce it.

I am so proud to part of this vibrant and important center for seeing, making and learning about contemporary art. I look forward to leading the Art Center as it continues to fulfill its mission of “bringing art and people together.”

In the economic crisis we are all facing, it is more important than ever to support the arts in our communities.
