IMAGES: THE BARE WALLS EVENT
PAINT BY NUMBER, SUPPORT ARTS EDUCATION
Come join in the creativity at Images: The Bare Walls Event on
Friday, June 12, 2009 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Art
Center. This event will raise funds to support the Art
Center's Community Outreach Programs for underserved and
economically disadvantaged audiences throughout New Jersey.
"Those who participate will work on a two-story paint
by number canvas with imagery reflecting the people the party
benefits and celebrating the close relationship of art and
community. It will be a whimsical, creative, and casual evening,
celebrating our support of kids and adults who really use art
sometimes exclusively to express themselves." -- Event Co-chair and
Art Center faculty member Jenny Reinhardt
Contemporary barbeque cuisine will be presented by
the Corporate Division of David Ellis Catering. Tickets start at

REGISRATION UNDERWAY FOR SUMMER CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS
Summer Art Camp: Celebrate Our World (ages
6-12) Kids learn about a variety of cultures and countries
through art projects. Saturday Art Camp (ages
6-12) Kids will complete two art projects daily from the
Celebrate Our World Art Camp on Saturday mornings. Teen
Art Camp: Aspiring Artist (ages 13-15) Students with a
serious interested in art create advanced projects in our
state-of-the-art studios. Portfolio Development
Intensive (ages 16-18) High School students develop
entrance portfolios for submission to fine arts college
programs.

Message from the New Executive Director
Hello, I'm Marion Grzesiak and it is my pleasure to
join the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey as the new Executive
Director. I am so proud to part of this vibrant and important center
for seeing, making and learning about contemporary art. I look
forward to leading the Art Center as it continues to fulfill its
mission of "bringing art and people together." In the
economic crisis we are all facing, it is more important than ever to
support the arts in our communities. I invite you to explore our
website to learn more about our exhibitions, art classes, workshops,
summer art camp and group tours program and I look forward to seeing
you here, at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, very
