While Latinos make up approximately 16 percent of New Jersey's population, their art is not always so well represented. Thanks to a dedicated live auction at this year's Viva Art! fundraiser, the Art Center ran "Discover the Arts," a one-week summer camp customized for special-needs students  (conditions included: cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, developmental delays and hemiplegia) enrolled at the P.G. Chambers School. This is a constituency that doesn't have many extracurricular options.  Through this partnership, students were provided with tailored lesson plans, along with special furniture and bathroom equipment in order to make the camp fun, comfortable and a beneficial experience. Click here to watch a video of the program in action.
