Dorothy Kuehn

Dorothy Kuehn received a BA in Biological Sciences from William Paterson University, NJ, as well as having completed training at the School of Visual Arts, NY; New School University, NY; GIA Color Management Training, NY; Woodstock School of Photography, NY, and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, Conn.

Dot’s photographs are prepared digitally and printed on artist papers. Surfaces are coated with inkjet receptive coatings and printed using inkjet printers. She is especially intrigued with creating textured surfaces using grounds, paints, printmaking techniques, transfers and now the encaustic process.

As a former teacher of the sciences and as a studio photographer, Dot brings unique skills in developing new and exciting courses for her students and finding new expression in her own art.

She is a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and a retired member of Professional Photographers of NJ. Dot has been a self-employed studio and freelance photographer for 30 years.

Introduction to Photoshop

6 WEEK CLASS
This introductory course will give students the opportunity to explore and develop a comfort level with the basic tools of Adobe Photoshop®. Focus will be on the essentials of good image management and becoming proficient with the skills necessary to produce beautiful photographs. From image to print, learn the steps that will free your creativity.
