Andy Foster
Andy Foster is a commercial photographer and owner of Gallery 51 (51 Church Street Montclair). Outside of representing fine artists at Gallery 51, he specializes in product and catalogue photography working with notable designers including Vera Bradley, Vera Wang, and Armani. Andy also works for NJ Monthly and NJ Bride, as well as shooting high-end weddings and portraits. He has run a studio internship since 1997 and has been teaching at the NJ Visual Art Center since 2008.

Document the life of a teen from your own unique perspective. In this class, built around group projects and individual instruction, you will learn how to photographic different subject matters in different styles. Fashion, documentary, portraiture, landscape and panoramic photography techniques will be discussed. Also, learn how to use Photoshop®, iPhoto® and other popular editing programs. All levels welcome.

Digital Personal Projects & Portfolio Development

This class is designed for serious photography and digital multimedia students who are developing portfolios for admission to college or who are interested in working on independent projects with the hopes/dreams of exhibiting, publishing or creating/improving an online presence. Personalized instruction and mentoring will be the focus of class, with an emphasis on improving each student’s Photoshop® skills. Brainstorming and group discussions will encourage and open class environment. By the completion of this course, each student will have a cohesive and organized body of work that demonstrates consistency and quality of vision. The entire CS production suite will be available as well as iLife®, including iDVD® and iMovie®.
