Peter Lester
Originally from London, Peter Lester attended Camberwell School of Art, Heatherly School of Fine Art, and SVA of New York. In 1988 he began his professional career at Elle magazine as a paste up artist. Peter left England in 1990 to come to New York City and work as an Artist and Muralist in the metro area. In 1992 he joined the ranks of Children’s Television Workshop as a digital Artist and remained there for 13 years, ultimately finishing his time there as Director Of Art And Animation. Peter’s freelance work includes digital and traditional illustration, interactive game design, web design, and emerging technologies. Peter has exhibited his work at VACNJ, Afferro Gallery Newark, NJ, and notably the Dianna Burke gallery in the World Trade Centre where his work received an article in the New York Times. He is currently teaching at the Visual Art Center of New Jersey.

| 10 WEEK CLASS This course is ideal for any student who wants to focus on a photographic, design or fine art project, whether complex or simple. Past students have worked on building a portfolio, publishing a photo book online, preparing artwork for an exhibition, creating slide shows, or even just refining their Photoshop® skills. Limited to 5 students to ensure personalized attention. This class is co-taught by Joan and Peter for extra individual attention.

| 10 WEEK CLASS Building on the Photoshop® skills learned in Level I, students will continue to gain proficiency in Photoshop CS4®. Complex techniques using curves, masking, selections, channels and specialized layer blending will be covered. Students can work on their own images and build a body of work. Through critiques, discussion and handouts, students will evaluate their own creative work flow. Prerequisite: Photoshop CS4® Level I.
