KIDS ART CAMP (AGES 6 – 12)
The Kids’ Art Camp has been developed to foster knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts. Students will explore a wide variety of mediums such as drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and three-dimensional work under the guidance of our highly qualified instructors. Each week, classes conclude with an exhibition where parents/caregivers are invited to view their child’s artistic creations.

What to Bring: Lunch (including drink) & Snack (the Art Center will no longer provide snack due to the high volume of food allergies).

Brand New Themes, Same Great Camp! Students will explore Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Sculpture, Collage and more through hands-on activities during each week. Projects are different each week (even if the theme is the same) so that you may register for as many weeks as you would like.

Important Information:
Students are grouped into 5 different age groups:
Picasso – Ages 6 – 7
Warhol – Ages 7 – 8
Kahlo – Ages 8 – 9
Van Gogh – Ages 9 – 10
Dali – Ages 11 – 12
Ages groups may vary slightly depending on the number of students enrolled in a particular group.
There is a maximum of 16 students to a group.

New Kids’ Camp Themes:
IT’S A COLORFUL WORLD! Artists love colors and so will you when you learn the characteristics of color and their interactions through warm and cool colors, color mixing, tints, tones and shades. Have fun creating dynamic designs based on the fundamentals of color theory and the power of values. Students will go home with a broad and colorful portfolio of masterpieces.

MINI MASTERS- Become a mini art master! Be inspired by Rembrandt, Seurat, Picasso and other old and new masters as you create and experiment with various mediums. Students will create art projects based upon well-known art styles such as Realism, Pointillism and Cubism, to name a few. Unleash the art master within and have fun while you create and learn.

ART TIME MACHINE- Buckle up and hold on tight! Get ready to travel through time and learn about the different eras of art. From Prehistoric times, to the Renaissance, moving through Modern and Contemporary Art, students will have a blast learning art history through hands-on art projects reflecting specific times and places in the art world.

ART AROUND THE GLOBE- Do you speak “Art”? No matter how you say it, “Art” is a universal language. Come travel the world to see how different cultures and countries celebrate and create art. Focusing on a different country each project, students will explore a variety of techniques and styles inspired by the featured country.

Friday Art Exhibitions:
At the end of each week we install the artwork created throughout the strolling galleries on the first and second floors at the art center. Families are invited to attend to see their child’s artistic creations. The exhibitions are on Fridays from 2 – 3pm.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds for canceled camp/portfolio sessions will be handled in the following manner:

Cancellation 14 days or more before the session begins: 80% refund
Cancellation 7 – 13 days before the session begins: 60% refund
Cancellation 3 – 6 days before the session begins: 40% refund
Cancellation 0 – 2 days before the session begins: No refund
