| Create your own custom surfaces for digital printing using specialized inkjet receptive coatings called digital grounds. Just introduced, Golden Paints® has a line of new products for you. In this workshop you will learn how to coat, tint and texturize assorted papers as well as nonporous surfaces. These products allow you to explore a variety of materials from delicate rice papers to spun polyester and digital transfers. The class includes preparation of surfaces, creating digital transfers and a demonstration on how to properly handle and print using an inkjet printer. Discussion will also include compatibility of mixed media with these coatings. Drying times will vary; therefore, prepared materials will be taken home for printing. |

| Precious Metal Clay is made of tiny fine silver particles mixed with a binder to form a clay like consistency. It can be manipulated and formed just like clay. It is then fired in a kiln, where the binder burns away, leaving a piece of hard, 99.9% fine silver. In this workshop, you will learn how to shape, texture and carve metal clay using simple tools. | Pigment sticks are oil paint combined with wax to hold together into a stick form. They can be used in a spontaneous way right on a surface without the need for brushes.
