10 WEEK CLASS This class will cover advanced wheel and handbuilding techniques for making large and tall forms, both functional and sculptural. Advanced wheel-throwing methods include combining wheel, extruded and handbuilt elements. Texturing and experimental glazing approaches will be explored. Demonstrations and individual instruction are key elements to this class. Intermediate and advanced students. |

10 WEEK CLASS Learn the basics of making pottery on mankind’s most important tool–the wheel! All steps will be covered. Basic functional forms will be demonstrated, along with all the “trimmings,” including glazing and firing, to produce beautiful and useful pieces of stoneware pottery. Students will receive individual attention. Returning students are welcome to focus and improve on the basics! |

10 WEEK CLASS The fastest way to ruin a pot is to put glaze on it. Often potters paint themselves into a glazing corner by not thinking about glazes as they create their work. In this class, participants will discover how to successfully design and glaze pieces to bring joy back to the kiln room. |

10 WEEK CLASS Immerse yourself in throwing pottery on the wheel. Learn all the steps needed to create and finish beautiful wheel-thrown pottery, including glazing techniques. Acquire the skills to make vases, bowls and plates. Various surface decorating techniques will also be explored. Particular emphasis is on the successful integration of form and function. |
